Description of Food Allergy Accommodations
- BE SURE to ask your server which items are truly DAIRY and GLUTEN FREE as some of the sauces that might appear to be safe, have flour in them. The menu displays vegan options which are great for those that have dairy restrictions. Also, those that have eliminated gluten from their diet will be pleased with the corn tortillas or blue corn tortillas (but watch those sauces!)
- Pepper Sisters must have something going for them since they have been recommended by Northwest Places for 20 years. The menu looks enticing. All entrees are served with salad, sopaipilla and honey butter. Enchiladas and burritos are the specialties of the house served in a relaxing, casual environment.
- If you’re in the mood to visit one of the more unique restaurants in the Bellingham area, then Pepper Sisters should top your list. Pepper Sisters is the only restaurant that I know of in this area offering Southwest-style cuisine. What’s more, the food is consistently well-prepared and satisfying.
Adding a restaurant is easy. First copy the code from Restaurant Page Format for the preferred general layout. Put a link to the restaurant on the appropriate hub page, for example RestaurantsByName, save your change, then click on the link to open and edit the new page for your restaurant. Or just type the name of the restaurant in the URL line of your browser after '/index.php?title=' and open the new URL, paste in the code and add the info. Remember to back-link to the appropriate hubs, like your city area hub, and RestaurantsByName.
- If you like the "fresh mex" taste of Pepper Sisters, try Mi Casa down in Viking Square behind Sehome Village. Not quite as pricey as Pepper Sisters. Corn tortillas are homemade. You can also special order tamales once a week to take home for dinner.
